The Design Process
The following information illustrates the steps that we use to create your new plans.
Initial Meeting
Bring or email any of your ideas, sketches, or photos with you to the meeting. This is when we will develop a design strategy for your new home. Architectural elements, build location, building budget, and time line are some of the items we will discuss during this meeting . Throughout this process we exchange ideas and questions until we have mutually agreed upon the direction that your floor plan and elevations.

Pricing
Once we establish a clear direction and inner-standing of your wants and desires, we discuss our fees and payment schedule. Although pricing can vary widely depending on several factors, a typical custom design will cost between $0.75 and $3.00 per square foot. Once we agree upon a price we ask that you sign a design agreement and pay one-third of the quoted fee. We then begin the design of your floor plan.
Conceptual Design
This phase of the design process usually takes two weeks. This is when we will produce the layout of your floor plan. We then present the initial design and ask you to take some time to review the floor plan. Quite often you will very minor modifications are made as the process moves forward into working drawings.
Preliminary Design
When the conceptual design is finalized, approved, and agreed upon, we move into production of working drawings. At this time we receive the second payment of the design fee. This is when we develop the elevations of your new home.
Final Review
We offer you a chance to review your plans and make any last minute changes that you may have. Upon approval of the final draft, we move ahead to complete the working drawings for your new project.
